Former Rangers player Kyle Hutton is to stand trial in 2028 accused of killing a woman in a road collision.

Hutton is said to have been "unfit to drive through alcohol or drugs" when he allegedly struck Victoria Cairns, 40, in Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, on 2 November 2024.

The 35-year-old denies the charges, which include going at excessive speed for the conditions at the time and not seeing the pedestrian.
