Tech giants are betting that AI agents will play a key role in how people get things done in the future – from shopping for groceries to returning packages and planning vacations.
OpenAI, Meta and Anthropic have made major pushes in this direction with the launch of agents like Dots, Muse and Claude Duet in recent weeks.
Meta’s Muse amassed 10 million downloads in the United States in its first 40 days, making it one of the few apps to achieve that milestone according to market intelligence firm Sensor Tower. Meta claims Muse can do things like build a shopping cart based on a recipe on Instagram, create workout plans and plan family trivia nights.
