Racing Bulls' Liam Lawson, who is still in limbo land when it comes to a seat on the 2027 grid, is starting third alongside the Audi of veteran driver Nico Hulkenberg in P4.
Fernando Alonso and Alex Albon are also starting in the points, with Aston Martin's Alonso rubbing shoulders with Mercedes' George Russell in eighth and Albon having to keep his Williams ahead of the McLaren of Oscar Piastri in ninth.
