Real-life loves Téa Leoni and Tim Daly play an unlikely couple who got hitched on a whim, with co-creator and executive producer Jamie Lee Curtis guest-starring.
Newlyweds is a new NBC comedy starring real-life spouses Téa Leoni and Tim Daly as newly married opposites Jeanie and James, with supporting cast members Emma Meisel, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, and Bill O’Neill.
The series premieres on Friday, October 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET, streaming the next day on Peacock.
Season 1 will have 13 episodes, and live tapings take place in Universal City, California through November.

The new NBC comedy series stars real-life married couple Téa Leoni and Tim Daly as Jeanie and James, two opposite personalities who get hitched (very) soon after their meet-cute. Leoni and Daly tied the knot in July 2025 after costarring in another series in which they played each others' spouses.
"We had a lot of fun on Madam Secretary, and I don't know. The world got darker, and we wanted to get lighter," Leoni said of teaming up with her husband for Newlyweds, speaking at NBC Universal's Backlot Pass event. "We sort of thought, 'we've done [sitcoms] and loved it' — and we wanted to spend our days together," she added.
Newlyweds also features Emma Meisel, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, and Bill O’Neill as series regulars. Meisel (American Horror Story: 1984,Please Don't Feed the Children) plays Jeanie's daughter, Poppy. Diaz-Silverio (Primo,Zero Day) plays Jeanie's adopted son Lolo. Per Deadline, O'Neill portrays Arvid, James' assistant in the philosophy department at the University of Oslo.
The series is co-created by Jamie Lee Curtis and Gail Lerner, who wrote, produced, and directed on shows including Will & Grace, Black-ish, and Happy Endings. Curtis also also executive-produces and will recur as a Very Special Guest Star.

Newlyweds will premiere Friday, October 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Episodes will air every Friday in the time slot, immediately following Reba McEntire's sitcom Happy's Place.
