Saudi Arabia executes cleaners for ‘indecent act’ in Mecca

Saudi Arabia executed two Bangladeshi citizens it had accused of an "indecent act" inside a mosque in Mecca.

The case has caused public anger in Bangladesh and has left its government scrambling for answers because it only learnt about the executions after the fact.

According to the Saudi interior ministry, a man and woman were put to death on Oct 14 in the Mecca region for violating the "sanctity" of the mosque.
